Human Resources Director
Brenda brings over 25 years of human resources and management experience with an extensive background in team building, customer service and training. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from SDSU with a minor in Organizational Psychology. Although she is new to the healthcare industry, her long-term association with Mission Healthcare gives her a unique understanding of the organizational philosophy and commitment to patient care; the "heartbeat" of the company. Brenda is an avid sports fan, a voracious reader and workout enthusiast. Born and raised in San Diego, she also loves traveling to Hawaii as often as possible. She says that she could not be more excited to join the Mission Team!
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
James began his career as the Financial Manager for Daily Bread Magazine where he managed all of accounting and human resources. He then became a Junior Accountant at WG Best Financial Services, Accounting Specialist at Brento Company and Staff Accountant at Fruci & Associates PS. In 2004, he opened his own company, Kelly Financial Services, where he managed 12 bookkeeping accounts and 70 individual tax returns for individual and small businesses. He also provided QuickBooks training and was a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. James starting working at Mission Healthcare in July of 2012 as a Senior Accountant and after seven months of employment was promoted to CFO. As CFO, he is responsible for the management of the accounting department and provides the board of directors with budget projections and the strategic planning for the company. James received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from San Diego State University.
Diane Logan - RN, BSN
Director of Nursing - Home Health
Diane graduated from Cal State Dominguez Hills and has been working in the home health industry since 1995. She has been the Director of Patient Care Services for Mission Home Health since 2011. In her free time she enjoys running, competing in triathlons and cheering on the Chicago Bears and the Alabama Crimson Tide
Warren D. Smith - DPT
Director of Rehabilitation Services - Home Health
Warren attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a B.S. in Finance. He then moved to Southern California to attend grad school at USC where he got his Doctor of Physical Therapy. He made is official move to San Diego in 2003. Warren brings 11 years of home health and physical therapy experience to Mission Home Health. He has educated and trained over 60 physical and occupational therapists in vestibular rehab in the Southern California market. He is an avid golfer and skier and enjoys spending time with his son, Gavin.
Rhonna Hart - LVN
Regional Sales Manager - Home Health
Rhonna graduated from Mira Costa Nursing School in 2006 and brings 6 years of healthcare experience to Mission. She worked for a medical registry acquiring extensive experience in the hospital setting, worked in skilled nursing facilities, and then discovered home health care. Her initial home health experience was in the intake department where she flourished because of the level of customer service she demanded from her department. From there she entered the field of sales and marketing and continued to thrive. She joined the Mission family in 2009 as a sales representative and quickly became the sales manager for San Diego where she increased the referral base over 100% consistently every year. This led to the need for more sales management to oversee the team that she created. She is now our Regional Sales Manager overseeing both Riverside and San Diego counties. In her free time she loves to spend time with her husband and two children enjoying all types of outdoor activities.
Operations Manager - Home Care
Born and raised in San Diego, Paul brings over 10 years of experience in health care, with special attention to customer service and professionalism. He most recently worked for a top-rated Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) multi-specialty physician’s group closely associated with one of the largest district hospitals in North San Diego County, focusing on supply chain services, facility and project management. He enjoys spending time with his daughter, family and is an auto enthusiast with a passion for gourmet cooking.
Executive Director - Hospice
Laura has a varied background in nursing experience spanning the last 27 years. As a former Navy wife, she has practiced nursing in eight states. Laura earned her MBA specifically with the plan to lead a team of hospice professionals to provide the very best care possible. Laura has more than 7 years of hospice experience, which include starting as a field case manager and eventually transitioning to the position of executive leadership. She has practical long-term care knowledge that comes from her time as a Director of Nursing for four years in Ohio. She worked in both Virginia and Hawaii for Ross Laboratories for more than 5 years, where she learned the value of relationship building and customer service. Laura specialized in emergency room and intensive care nursing during her 15 years of hospital-based clinical experience. She currently works per diem at a local hospital and believes deeply in the role hospice care can play for patients who are facing end of life issues. Although a cure is no longer possible, hope remains to live each day to the fullest in the company of family and friends with the best quality of life possible. It is likely you can find Laura running a half marathon anytime throughout the year. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her three amazing children, whom she calls her “pride and joy.”
Troy Barth, Comptia A+, Network+, Security+
Troy is the IT manager at Mission Healthcare, with the responsibility for the entire IT operation. He holds a Bacholor's Degree in Computer Science and has over six years experience working in the information technology industry. He has a passion for technology and enjoys playing music in his free time.
