Paying for Hospice

Don’t Worry, You’re Covered
Hospice provides a full range of services for people with serious illness. It also supports loved ones and caregivers. It’s hard enough facing the fact that your aging or terminally ill loved one will be entering hospice shortly, but add the stress of determining how to pay for it all, and it’s understandable why you might feel overwhelmed.
At Mission Healthcare, we are dedicated to helping our patients receive the best and most affordable care possible, which is why we work with a variety of insurance companies and policies.

Easy Ways You Can Pay
Payment Options
Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid (in most states), the Veterans Health Administration, and most private insurers. Learn more about insurance coverage and financial resources that help people pay for hospice care below.
*Other conditions not related to the specific hospice diagnosis may be covered differently.

Getting Started
What to Expect
If you are seeking hospice care for yourself or a loved one, you will need a referral from a physician or medical provider for insurance to pay for your treatment. We accept referrals by phone, fax, or email from your provider. We will then verify your coverage and handle all insurance paperwork.
We encourage referrals early on, so the patient and family may receive maximum benefit from the comprehensive services that we provide.
